The studio is built on a collaborative ethos and a clear vision to develop globally scalable original IPs, backed by strong 2D and 3D animation capabilities and a streamlined, production-ready pipeline. Siddharth Maskeri - CCO (25+ years experience)
Story Shaman, Filmmaker, IP Creator, Pedagogue, Facilitator
Siddharth Maskeri is the co-founder and creative force behind Khoya Chappal Motion Pictures, a purpose-led animation and storytelling studio. A microbiologist-turned-filmmaker, he began his journey with Masti Express and went on to co-create Enko The Eskimo for Cartoon Network USA and Pa Ja Ma for Sony Yay. His story The Pickle Jar Adventure was appreciated at Annecy 2012. Passionate about nurturing storytellers, Siddharth conducts workshops at top institutions and, through Soulify, travels India with his partner Smriti and son Advait, spreading the ‘Story Rainbow’ philosophy to inspire conscious, compassionate creativity.
Soumavo Ghosh Dastidar - COO (20+ years experience)
Visualiser, Ace Animator, Pipeline Designer
Soumavo is a seasoned animation director whose journey began in 2006 with a diploma in 2D Animation from Toonz Webel, following a degree in Mathematics. He has contributed to iconic international shows like Johnny Bravo and Fantastic Four, and worked with Red Chillies Entertainment on title sequences for Ra-One and My Name is Khan. As a creative lead on IPs like Devi, Lankesh, and Pa Ja Ma, he also built a dynamic animation team in Kolkata, delivering global hits like Pakdam Pakdai, Bunty Billi, and Sab Jholmal Hai for Disney, Sony YAY, Cartoon Network, and more.
